Local game data
Gooby: Pet Sim stores your gooby (its name, look, needs and history), your room and decorations, aura, unlocked accessories, mini-game scores and settings on the device. The game has no player account, no cloud save and no analytics service. Logosmind cannot retrieve or restore your gooby from its servers. Removing the app or its data may permanently remove your gooby.
Home Screen widget, Live Activity, picture-in-picture and gooby texts
To show your gooby outside the app, the game writes a small status snapshot (name, look, needs, current activity and a forecast of the next hours) into a keychain item shared only between Gooby and its own widget on the same device. The Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets and the Live Activity (Lock Screen and Dynamic Island) read this snapshot on the device; it is not sent to Logosmind.
“Gooby beside me” plays short clips of your gooby, rendered by the game on the device, in a picture-in-picture window when you leave the app. It does not use the camera, the microphone or your screen content, and can be switched off in the game’s settings.
Gooby texts are local notifications scheduled on the device from your gooby’s forecast. The game first asks in its own words and only then shows Apple’s permission prompt. There is no push server and no message content leaves the device. You can switch them off in the game’s settings or in iOS Settings; Live Activity can be switched off the same way.
Advertising and consent
Versions of Gooby that show ads use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). Current TestFlight builds do not show ads yet. When ads are present, UMP requests and presents regional consent choices when applicable, and available choices can be revisited from the game’s settings.
The game does not request Apple App Tracking Transparency permission, access IDFA or implement separate cross-app tracking or device fingerprinting. Google may process information for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, diagnostics and SDK operation under its own policies; non-personalized or contextual ads can still involve limited processing. Production ad units are used only in verified App Store builds. TestFlight uses Google’s sample ad units. Unknown or disabled environments do not load ads.
Website and support
logosmind.app is delivered through Cloudflare infrastructure. Standard technical request information may be processed to deliver, secure and diagnose the website. Logosmind does not use this site for behavioral advertising or player profiling. Support email may contain the information you choose to send; use the Support page for practical guidance and avoid sending passwords or authentication codes.
