Introduction

Your privacy matters. LogosMind is local-first by design — your data stays on your device by default. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal information on our servers.

LogosMind is local-first. Your data stays on your device by default. Optional features like Satellite sync and cloud AI only activate with your explicit consent.

Information We Collect

LogosMind stores data locally on your device only. This includes:

  • Thoughts and words you add to your spheres
  • Connections between words
  • Notes and note blocks you create
  • Tags and their organization
  • Sphere names and configurations
  • Images attached to notes

All data is stored locally on your device by default. Data is only transmitted externally if you explicitly enable optional features (Satellite sync or cloud AI), as described below.

Device Permissions

LogosMind may request the following device permissions. Each is used solely for the stated purpose and no data is transmitted externally.

Camera — Used exclusively for AR mode to place your sphere in augmented reality. Camera feed is processed on-device and never recorded or transmitted.

Microphone — Used for voice-to-text input when adding words to your sphere. Audio is processed on-device and never recorded or transmitted.

Speech Recognition — Uses Apple's on-device SFSpeechRecognizer to convert your voice into text. Processing happens entirely on your device.

Face ID / Touch ID — Used only for app lock authentication. Biometric data is managed by Apple's Secure Enclave and never accessed or stored by LogosMind.

Security

LogosMind takes your security seriously:

  • PIN codes are hashed using SHA256 before storage
  • Security credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain with device-only access
  • Biometric authentication uses Apple's Secure Enclave
  • Recovery keys are generated locally and hashed before storage

Subscriptions & Payments

All subscription payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. LogosMind does not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID credentials. We receive only your subscription status (active or expired) through Apple's StoreKit framework to determine feature access within the app.

Data Storage

All your data is stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework (SQLite database) on your device. Note images are stored in the app's Application Support directory. No data is synced to any cloud service unless you explicitly enable Satellite sync or cloud AI features.

Satellite Sync (Optional)

Satellite Mode is an optional premium feature that lets you sync data between your own devices over a local network. When enabled:

  • Data is synced peer-to-peer between your devices — no intermediary servers are involved
  • All data is encrypted end-to-end using AES-GCM encryption with ECDH key exchange
  • Only devices you explicitly pair can access your data
  • Satellite sync is disabled by default and requires your explicit activation

Cloud AI (Optional)

LogosMind offers optional cloud-based AI features for enhanced analysis. When enabled:

  • The text you choose to analyze is sent to the AI provider you select (OpenAI, Anthropic, or a custom endpoint)
  • Your API key is stored locally in the iOS Keychain — we never see or store it
  • AI providers process your request according to their own privacy policies
  • Cloud AI is disabled by default and requires your explicit configuration and consent
  • On-device AI via Apple Intelligence (iOS 18.4+) processes everything locally with no external transmission

Third-Party Services

LogosMind uses no third-party SDKs, analytics, telemetry, advertising, or tracking of any kind. The app uses only first-party Apple frameworks for its core functionality.

The only external services involved are the AI providers you may optionally configure (OpenAI, Anthropic, or a custom endpoint). These are activated solely at your discretion and require your own API credentials.

Data Export & Deletion

You have full control over your data:

  • Export your data as JSON or Markdown from Settings > Manage Data
  • Delete all data from Settings > Manage Data > Delete All Data
  • Uninstalling the app removes all associated data from your device

Children's Privacy

LogosMind is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since all data is stored locally on the device, no personal information is transmitted to us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
